Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
Code of Conduct
* Please read and sign this form, and bring it with you to the Parent Meeting on Thursday, Jan. 21st.
We are excited to have a terrific group of talented students assembled for this production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Our goal is to ensure a wonderful experience for everyone involved in this production. In order to achieve this, we have compiled the following guidelines and expectations:
- The most important rule for this production is RESPECT. When a director or choreographer is speaking, you are expected to stop and listen quietly and carefully for instructions. You are expected to show kindness and respect for your fellow cast members as well.
- All cast members are to arrive five minutes prior to every rehearsal so that you are in place and ready to start on time. We value your time and commitment to this production and have worked hard to arrange the schedule in such a way that will make the most effective use of rehearsal time. We have tried to eliminate “down time” as much as possible. However, you may occasionally have to wait between scenes; we ask that you be patient and sit or read quietly during that time.
- You are expected to attend all rehearsals in which the children’s chorus is included (see Rehearsal Schedule for specifics). If you cannot attend a rehearsal, please email Amy Lundquist at send2amyl@gmail.com prior to rehearsal. We allow a maximum of three unexcused absences. If you miss more than that, you may be pulled out of certain songs or scenes because we will not have time to go back and re-teach what you missed. If you need to miss more than three rehearsals, you will need to get prior approval from Amy Lundquist. Dress Rehearsals are mandatory!
- During rehearsals, please remain in the drama room, auditorium, or other designated areas as instructed by the directors. Do not roam the halls. If you need to use the restroom during rehearsals, please notify a parent helper.
- It is the parents' responsibility to make sure children make it safely into the Drama Room at the beginning of rehearsals and that they are picked up from the Drama Room promptly at the end of rehearsals.
- We expect to have very few discipline problems. However, in the case of such problems, our procedure is as follows:
1st offense – student will receive a warning
2nd offense – student will be required to sit on the floor by the wall and watch
rather than participate
3rd offense – parents will be contacted
4th offense – student will be dismissed from the production
I agree to the abide by these rules and policies.
